Welcome to Greek Moorfields Alumni

GMA is a non-profit, non-governmental, primary Association, under the official name “Greek Moorfields Alumni”.

Our association welcomes all alumni of the Moorfields Eye Hospital (MEH) of London in an ambitious attempt to create a strong community and enrich productive communication between alumni based in Greece and the MEH to develop the fundamentals for collaboration in every aspect of Ophthalmology.

Particularly, our purpose is to become a bridge that can successfully attempt to keep our members updated about the latest new medical data, skills, and clinical protocols, as well as, the clinical practices developed by the scientist experts of Moorfields Eye Hospital.

We believe that constant dialogue between members and Moorfields Hospital is a safe quality path to improve our scientific methods and to promote clinical and research collaboration. In addition, it is within our priorities, the GMA club, to become an advisory body for young ophthalmologists who wish to pursue subspecialty clinical training or obtain a research degree in Moorfields Eye Hospital.

In this context, some of the most outstanding activities included in our calendar are the organization of the Annual Scientific Symposium, the publishing of books or brochures of professional and educational content, the exchanges consulting views for clinical – surgical cases of a high degree of difficulty and the participation in clinical trials in collaboration with the MEH.
